Research on the Configurational Path of Open Innovation Ecosystem Empowering the Development of New Quality Productive Forces

Abstract:Competition among nations and regions has increasingly shifted from economic momentum to the development of new quality productive forces.However,existing studies largely rely on traditional economic analytical frameworks to explain the development mechanisms of new quality productive forces,while neglecting the role of high-level opening up.From the perspective of a“subject-resource-environment”logic,this study employs a combined approach of NCA and fsQCA to explore how open innovation ecosystems empower the development of new quality productive forces.Results show:① The development of new quality productive forces stems from the coordinated interaction of subjects,resources,and environment,with no single necessary factor.②Four configurational paths emerge:endogenous technology-driven synergy,outward-oriented open collaborative leapfrogging,comprehensive ecosystem synergy,and policy-leveraged activation.The findings enrich theoretical understanding and offer insights for advancing new quality productive forces in China.
