Abstract:The competition among large countries in science and technology,represented by artificial intelligence (AI),increasingly takes on the color of technological politics,and technological power has become the exogenous driving force for the innovation ecosystem of artificial intelligence.This paper adopts a longitudinal case study method to systematically deconstruct the evolution process of the US AI innovation ecosystem and explore the evolution mechanism of the AI innovation ecosystem driven by technological power.The research findings are as follows.①The competition in AI technology follows an evolutionary path of“material resource control-market network shaping-institutional rule monopoly”,corresponding to the iterative transformation of technological power from material type to network type and ultimately to institutional type.②Under the triple drive of technological power,the evolution of the AI innovation ecosystem has undergone two leaps from the AI technological innovation ecosystem to the AI industrial innovation ecosystem and the AI national innovation ecosystem,with the roles of the government and the market waxing and waning,forming an evolutionary trajectory of“government guidance-government-enterprise collaboration-market dominance”.③The evolution of the AI innovation ecosystem is jointly influenced by the innovation mechanism and the governance mechanism,and there is a synergy between the innovation mechanism and the governance mechanism.
