Abstract:How to improve the conversion rate of scientific and technological achievements in universities has always been a focal point of academic attention.Currently,most research on university technology transfer focuses on the correlation between investment in university scientific achievements and their commercialization,while neglecting the roles of participants such as researchers,transformation institutions,and universities,as well as their interactions under different circumstances.Against this backdrop,this study,based on Actor-Network Theory and employing fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis,conducts an in-depth investigation into the specific pathways and influencing factors of technology transfer among 50 Chinese universities.The findings reveal that although enhancing researchers' share in the benefits of technology transfer is significant,it is not a necessary condition for building an efficient technology transfer system.Instead,the core roles of various entities and their interactive mechanisms are more critical.Specific pathways include incentive-based transformation systems for researchers,balanced-driven transformation systems combining technology markets and researchers,dual-driven transformation systems involving both researchers and university technology transfer institutions,as well as venture capital market-driven systems with dual drivers from both technology transfer personnel and investors.Additionally,by analyzing practical models of technology transfer in universities across different regions and development stages,this study provides important references for universities to construct technology transfer systems tailored to their own characteristics.
