Abstract:Drawing upon innovation cycle theory,industrial life cycle theory,and innovation-driven development theory,this study investigates the internal mechanism through which scientific and technological innovation drives high-quality industrial development in the manufacturing sector.It further measures the prosperity indices of scientific-technological innovation and high-quality industrial development in manufacturing.Utilizing the Chinese prosperity indices from 2001 to 2022,this research examines the actual effects of manufacturing technological innovation on high-quality industrial development through the ARDL-ECM model.The findings reveal that:①Both scientific-technological innovation and high-quality industrial development in China's manufacturing sector exhibit cyclical characteristics,approximately 3 complete cycles and 4 short cycles respectively.②In the long term,manufacturing innovation activities significantly promote high-quality industrial development.③Short-term analysis demonstrates that the state of manufacturing innovation activities during industrial development presents certain negative effects on industrial quality enhancement.However,when high-quality development deviates from the anchor state determined by the long-term effects of technological innovation,it exhibits rapid adjustment capabilities to restore equilibrium.
