The Mechanism of Talent Chain Supporting the Integration of Innovation Chain and Industrial Chain: A Multi-Case Study Based on the Empowerment of Industrial Internet Platforms

Abstract:As a key driver of manufacturing's digital transformation,the industrial internet enhances industrial chain collaboration and reshapes the innovation ecosystem.While research has examined the integration of technology and resources,a talent chain framework remains underexplored,limiting efforts to upgrade industrial foundations and foster innovation.Analyzing three industrial internet platforms,this study finds that platform-based collaboration—through organizational,structural,and field empowerment—strengthens talent chains and addresses dual-chain bottlenecks via guidance,resource use,and ecosystem capacity.The industrial internet thus integrates talent,innovation,and industrial chains through the“platform empowerment—talent chain support—dual-chain integration”mechanism.This study constructs a mechanism framework for the industrial internet's empowerment of talent chains supporting dual-chain integration and expands the connotation of platform empowerment theory from a dynamic perspective.It provides theoretical guidance for overcoming the talent-innovation-industry collaboration dilemma in the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing sector.
