Abstract:As scenario-general-interactive AI advances,it is breaking firms' innovation constraints and reshaping innovation behavior,organization,and theoretical foundations.Using a sample of Chinese A-share manufacturing listed firms from 2011 to 2023,this study investigates how scenario AI affects open innovation.Results show that scenario AI significantly promotes open innovation across the infrastructure,algorithmic model,and scenario application layers,with the strongest effect at the scenario application layer.Mechanism tests indicate that scenario AI enhances open innovation by improving firms' adaptive dynamic capabilities and reducing resource allocation variance.Heterogeneity analysis reveals that the promotion effect is more pronounced in SMEs,non-SOEs,high-tech industries,capital-intensive firms,and eastern regions.These findings enrich the understanding of scenario AI's role in open innovation and provide theoretical and practical implications for innovation development in the era of data-reality integration.
