| The Ownership of Human Genetic Information |

Abstract Human Genetic information is the personal essential information with great value,which triggers ownership disputes.In this paper,with the reference of the United States,the rationality and controversy against ownership of genetic information by the individual,the acquirer,family members or the whole mankind were analyzed.After balancing the interests,it is suggested that the acquirer should own property interests of human genetic information,the doctor should be conferred with liability of warning genetic risks to balance the interests of the individual and family members,in the meanwhile,the protection of personal interests should be enhanced by informed consent and information security.
