Abstract Business model has become the new analysis unit.However, the definitions of business model are still full of significant controversy, and the research of business model evaluation is in its infancy.Based on the review of foreign literature, we found that despite different definitions of business models, the literature theoretically and practically illustrates a common characteristic of business model:valuable win-win.That is a successful business model not only creates value for pursuing their own interests, but also creates much greater value for all the participating enterprises within the greater network.Therefore, the valuable win-win is an effective standard to evaluate business model.Meanwhile, the paper discusses six competitive advantages possessed by business models with valuable win-win:resources accessibility, high efficiency with low costs, imitation difficulty, industrial chain integration, multi-value and innovation advantages, which also specifies the feasible directions for enterprises conducting business model design.
