Abstract This paper constructs an evaluation index system of utilization and sharing for large-scale scientific instruments in Beijing.The results show that new equipment utilization is lower than the overall utilization,and its sharing rate with other units is lower than the overall rate.The utilization and sharing level of new equipment need to be further improved.The utilization level of the central unit is significantly higher than that of local unit,but the municipal units have an advantage in the value ratio of shared equipment and external service sharing rate.The central units should further promote the large-scale scientific instruments to be opened and shared.Local units should further improve the equipment utilization,information disclosure and sharing service across area.
