Abstract The establishment of science & technology innovation systems is the critical foundation for enterprises to constantly improve the science & technology innovation capabilities.This paper presents the definition and connotation of an enterprise's science & technology innovation system based on the analysis and review of theories.The important approaches for world-class enterprises to establish science & technology innovation systems are revealed by comparing and analyzing the relevant practice of many world-class enterprises, from five dimensions of innovation ecosystem, innovation impetus, the decision-making mechanism of innovation, achievements conversion, and resource sharing.The common features of science & technology innovation system of world-class enterprises are summarized and abstracted for providing Chinese enterprises with mode reference and idea examples to strengthen the establishment of science & technology innovation system.
