Abstract Intellectual property network structure can reflect the distribution and exchange activities of global intellectual property which has great guiding effect on national innovative capacity.This paper adopts the social network analysis which combines patent and trademark application data between 2000—2010 to analyze the network structure.The result showed that the intellectual property networks structure is relatively dispersive.The developed countries have higher out-degree and occupy absolute advantage while the developing countries have higher in-degree.The intellectual property networks have stable core-periphery structure.The status and control of China in patent and trademark application is gradually enhanced.
