Abstract With the vigorous development of a new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation in the world,electronization,networking,intelligence and sharing are becoming the new evolution direction of the automotive industry,and the demand for automotive chip is increasing.In 2020,the shortage of automotive chip caused by the COVID-19 epidemic exposed the shortcomings of China's automotive chip industry,such as low independent innovation level,weak industrial supply capacity and low-level industrial chain.Facing the opportunities and challenges for the development of automotive chip in China,it is necessary to promote the collaborative innovation and development of the whole chain across industries,speed up the formulation of national standards and testing and certification system for automotive chip,strengthen the introduction and training of interdisciplinary and multi-level professionals,further improve the policies and measures to guide the healthy development of the industry,promote the automotive chip industry to the middle and high level,and provide strong support for enhancing the independent support capability of China's automotive industrial chain.
