| On Data Protection Officer Mechanism from General Data Protection Regulation |

Abstract Data Protection Officer (DPO)as a personal data protection mechanism is originated from European Union.On May 2018,EU has promulgated the General Data Protection Regulation,in which DPO has become a mechanism to be applied within all EU member states.As China and EU are close trading partners,the DPO mechanism has a role to play in Chinese companies.Therefore,we shall discuss and study the following questions:What kind of companies shall a DPO be appointed? What kind of qualifications shall a DPO have? What kind of working conditions shall a company offer to a DPO? What shall a DPO do in data protection? Once all the aforementioned questions are answered,Chinese companies can have better regulation compliances in personal data protection.
