Abstract：Based on patent analysis DII database,the profile of international patents of robotics industry is analyzed from the aspects of overall development trends,geographic distributions of priority and publication countries,key technology fields of top assignees and top inventors.It is found that US and Japan are technological leaders in this field;China has been developing faster and faster in recent years,but lack of key patents;all transnational corporations pay attention to the patents global markets of geographic distributions;China is the focus of competition area,and foreign patent applications in China have exceeded 50% of total Chinese patents.It is suggested that China should make plans on intellectual property development strategies for robotics industry to enhance core competitiveness of enterprises
