Abstract：The development of strategic emerging industries plays an important role in promoting the sustainable development of regional economy. And the correct choice for the key areas of strategic emerging industries is the key to the successful development of industry. The problems in the existing regional strategic emerging industries are the excessive convergence selection and the insufficient research on key areas. In response to these problems, this article identifies the basis for the selection of regional key areas of strategic emerging industries and builds the corresponding evaluation index system accordingly. This article takes the selection of key areas of Xi'an new aviation materials industries' development as an example, using AHP and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to select the candidate fields comprehensively.
