Abstract：This paper set the new generation of information technology industry in Beijing as the object of study,adding the methods of authorized ratio,RD capability,patent technical value,technology opportunity,and technology advantages to the general patent mapping analysis.Based on the patent data of China and worldwide,this paper analyzed the strengths,weakness,opportunities and challenges in the new generation of information technology industry in Beijing by SWOT model.By the comparative analysis of Beijing and other regions,this paper found the development direction.Finally it put forward the development strategy for promoting new generation of information technology industry in Beijing.The results showed that the ideas and analysis methods in this study can add value to the emerging strategic industries researches in China.
