Abstract：With the continuous escalation of China-US trade frictions,whether government interventions have effectively promoted industrial competitiveness has become a hot topic for scholars.In this paper,the relationship between industrial policies and industrial competitiveness is empirically studied by combining content analysis and typical correlation analysis and using China's integrated circuit industry policy and trade data from 2000 to 2016.The study finds that the talent training,tax incentives,regulation control,goal programming,the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and government procurement policies could effectively promote the competitiveness of the industry,while the capital investment policies have certain inhibitory effect on industrial competitiveness.
