Abstract：Integration of manufacturing and services has become an important way to promote value chain upgrading.Based on the ADB database,this paper analyzes the impact of the inter-industry linkages between manufacturing and services on regional value chain upgrading among RCEP member countries.Empirical research shows as follows.Industry integration significantly promotes regional value chain upgrading.The effect of industrial integration on value chain upgrading depends on the types of services and manufacturing.The large-scale application of industrial robots is an important mediator for industrial integration to promote regional value chain upgrading.The study of moderating effects by using a moderated mediation model shows that technological innovation plays an important role in the process of industrial robots promoting regional value chain upgrading.In addition,the degree of linkage between upstream and downstream industries is also an important factor affecting industrial upgrading.This paper extends the analysis on this issue,aiming to fully reflect the impact of industrial integration among RCEP member countries on manufacturing upgrading.Finally,policy recommendations are proposed for strengthening regional economic ties among RCEP member countries.
