Abstract Though there are a lot of the research literature to calculate the innovation and entrepreneurship function and developing effects of the science and technology parks(S&T Parks)based on the developing theory,it is still very little original literature to reveal the developing law of the S&T Parks based on sustainable development theory from the sustainable development mechanism.In order to improve the innovation ability of the S&T Parks and to realize the leading role,the paper analyzes the development mechanism about the S&T Parks of Silicon Valley,Cambridge UK,South Korea Dade,Chinese Taiwan's Hsinchu,and Beijing Zhongguancun based on the sustainable development theory by the evolution analysis and comparative analysis.The sustainable development mechanism of the S&T Parks is pointed out.The study is beneficial to enrich the management theory of S&T Parks and promote the sustainable development of the S&T Parks.
