| Evolution and Tendency of Chinese Science and Technology Policy |

Abstract Since the founding of new China,Chinas science and technology policy has experienced four strategy stages:defense construction,economic construction,rejuvenating the country through science and education,as well as innovation oriented country.The change shows some tendencies including from the supply leading to demand induced policy,one-way policy to policy combination,the instrumental rationality to the value rationality,administrative instructions to market regulation,imitation tracking to independent innovation,etc.In the next stage,Chinas science and technology policy should pay more attention to five aspects:governments guide by major science and technology strategic plan,a fair competition environment to encourage innovation,the dominant position of enterprises in technical innovation,the boosting role of financial innovation on technology innovation,as well as cultivation,introduction and use of science and technology talents
