Abstract This paper presented a comprehensive index system for assessment of the level of regional industry transfer based on three aspects:investment-driven effect, economic growth effect, industrialization-driven effect.The system also considered the current situation of modern service industry cluster based on five factors:development level, growth ability, basic conditions, public environment and comparative advantage.Furthermore, the paper established a coupling coordination degree model focusing on the degree of coordination between modern service industry cluster and regional industry transfer by using panel data collected from 2005 to 2011 for the Wanjiang City Belt.The results showed that the degree of coordination between the two subsystems was constantly optimized.
