Abstract Based on co-opetition theory,cooperation is considered as the essence of value creation,and competition is the essence of value distribution.In the development of collaborative RD unit of Industry-University,they input resource to create value and share the RD achievement to distribute value,namely,they cooperate for creating the value and compete for maximizing the benefit,and the co-opetition relationship will exist in the union from beginning to the end.However,there is no scholar analysis on RD union of Industry-University from co-opetition perspective.In this paper,after reviewing the related literatures,we analyzed the influencing factors of the Industry-University RD union during the process of developing based on the co-opetition assumption,and then established the model for this process.
