Abstract In previous study of urban villages,macro and micro analysis were disconnected.The early researches were also lack of systematic understanding.This paper,based on the CAS theory,proposed to recognize the basic frame work of urban villages.It summerized the governmental management model and the development model of urban villages.It also conducted a case study of Beijing Gao Beidian Village,hoping to pcovide new strategies for urban villages management.
