Abstract The paper uses sequential DEA-Malmquist index to measure the heterogeneity of China s service sub-industry TFP development in 1994—2011,and studies the effect of the development unbalance to the income distribution.The research conclusion includs:total factor productivity(TFP)and technical efficiency have positive relations with sub-industry income gap,meanwhile technological progress has no such relation with that index.
