Abstract By using the DEA-SBM model for establishment of strategic emerging industry patent operation efficiency evaluation index system,the paper selects the data of 30 provinces and cities in China to analyze.The paper finds that the efficiency of patent operation of strategic emerging industries in various provinces and cities is not good.The efficiency of the transformation stage is inconsistent with the efficiency of the research and development stage.In both stages,there is a phenomenon of input redundancy and insufficient output.There is no obvious consistency between the patent operation efficiency and the regional development level.All regions should further improve the patent operation and industrialization ability,promote the effective mechanism of patent transaction and achievement transformation,learn from reference benchmarks,promote local innovation,improve the construction of patent operation service platform,and promote the efficiency of patent operation,thereby promoting strategic emerging industries continue to develop in a healthy and stable manner.
