The EU's Science,Technology and Innovation Strategy and Its Implications on China-EU Science and Technology Cooperation

Abstract  The European Union(EU)started to implement the 9th Framework Programme,namely Horizon Europe in 2021.This paper introduces the key strategic directions of the EU's science and technology innovation and the principles of its international S&T cooperation as reflected in Horizon Europe,analyses the current situation and key areas of cooperation between China and the EU in terms of trade in high-tech product trades,co-publishing papers and cooperation in scientific research projects,and discusses the possible impact of changes in the EU's innovation strategy on China-EU S&T cooperation.The paper also discusses the possible impact of changes in the EU's innovation strategy on China-EU S&T cooperation.Finally,the paper proposes countermeasures on how to promote future China-EU S&T cooperation under the new international situation.
