Abstract Taking Stanford Research Institute(SRI) as a case,its five disciplines of innovation management and commercializing of its research are analyzed.Then its beneficial experiences of innovation management for knowledge-based institute are indicated as follows.Since organizational learning is the foundation of knowledge creation,innovation management programs and measures are designed to suit the needs for organizational learning.Accordingly,innovation management tools,innovation culture,transfer and industrialization of innovation achievement should be designed which are according to characteristics of the knowledge-intensive activities.
