Abstract This paper displays the relevance between collaborative innovation behaviors and social network building in Chinese valley phenomena,then makes a literature review about industry-university-research collaborative innovation,region collaborative innovation and industry chain collaborative innovation from the point of social network.This paper takes Wuhan Optical Valley,Changsha Lugu,Zhangjiang Medicine Valley and China South Idea Valley as examples,then makes the group case study on the mechanism of collaborative innovation in Chinese valley phenomena from the point of social network,then finds the same and different disciplines on the mechanism of collaborative innovation in Chinese valley phenomena.
