Abstract：Economic growth convergence of 83 counties(municipalities)in Shaanxi province from 2003 to 2011 is measured by using panel data spatial econometric model.The conclusions from econometric analysis are as follows:neither absolute β economic convergence nor conditional β economic convergence exists for counties in Shaanxi province without considering spatial effect,but significant conditional convergence exists after introducing spatial effect,which shows that spatial effect helps bridge the economic gap among counties in Shaanxi province and promote the economic convergence of counties.In addition,the level of industrialization,physical capital,human capital,and government spending have positive effects on economic convergence,while household savings has negative effects on economic convergence.
