Abstract The Ministry of Science and Technology,the Ministry of Commerce and China Development Bank have jointly conducted the twelfth “statistical survey on the national venture capital institutions” in 2014. Based on the data acquired from the statistical survey,this paper intends to summarize ten features presented in Chinese venture capital industry in 2013 from the aspects such as quantity of institutions,management capital,capital resources,industry invested,regional operation,investment phase,exit way,guidance fund and policy environment. In addition,the survey also shows that Chinese venture capitalists remain optimistic about their own development,have slightly improved comments on the industry development and good investment expectation for 2014
