Abstract Using patent-based cross impact analysis, this paper analyzes the converging trend of nanotechnology, biotechnology and information technology quantificationally from the aspect of converging depth and converging width.Within respective fields and cross area of NBI, the paper concludes the converging depth and the converging width of the key technologies.Based on the result, this study makes suggestions to enterprises for the choice of priority development fields and offers support to the government for formulating development strategies to the converging technology.
