Abstract This paper analyzes the international situation of China s carbon footprint using international comparison methods.Firstly,it takes an international comparison study on the carbon emission in 2009,then it studies the international comparison of China s carbon footprint from 1971 to 2009,and then it studies the international comparison of China s carbon intensity and per capita carbon emission from 1971 to 2009 using a historical perspective.
