Abstract The garage biology is a newly emerged private biotechnology practice around the world.In China,its status is still at an underdeveloped stage.However,relevant technology development and the decrease of cost,accompanied with the perspective of future using,have laid a foundation for the further development of garage biology in China.Therefore,it is necessary for the government to create a favorable regulation system and take a more specific legal governance tactics.
