Abstract Innovation-driven development strategy is an innovative development strategy which regards knowledge and science & technology as precursor for economic development.UK is acknowledged as one of the most innovative countries in the world at present, which is a traditionally strong country in basic science, and has achieved remarkable results from innovation-driven development in recent years.This article first illustrates the process of UK innovation-driven development, then analyzes the main route and feature of UK innovation-driven development.On this basis, we suggest the way how our country could become innovation-driven development country.
