Abstract This study focuses on hard-tech enterprises founded by scientists as the research object.By employing the LDA topic model,it analyzes the entrepreneurial spirit system of these enterprises in real-world contexts and uses the fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis method(fsQCA)to explore the impact of this entrepreneurial spirit system on corporate sustainable development.The findings reveal three entrepreneurial spirit-driven paths for the sustainable development of scientist-founded enterprises:the dual-dominant path,the holistic synergy-driven path,and the specific-matching path.Additionally,four entrepreneurial spirit patterns that hinder corporate sustainable development are identified,shedding light on the limitations of entrepreneurial spirit in the sustainable development of Chinese scientist-founded enterprises.Further analysis from the perspective of sustainable development characteristics of these enterprises shows two distinct paths—the steady progress-driven path and the mission empowerment-driven path—exemplified by artificial intelligence and biotechnology enterprises.The findings offer valuable insights for the high-quality and long-term development of scientist-founded enterprises,particularly those representing the hard technology sector.
