Abstract Data empowerment is the driving force for the digital transformation of manufacturing enterprises.This paper expounds the connotation of data empowerment from the perspective of ontology,epistemology and methodology.The logical framework of data empowerment is constructed from four dimensions named as data perception,intelligent cognition,dynamic decision-making and accurate execution.This paper systematically expounds the process mechanism of data empowering manufacturing enterprise innovation from three aspects including the logical framework of data empowerment,the five modules of manufacturing enterprise innovation,and the improvement of enterprise innovation ability.
