Abstract Patent Prosecution Highway is a patent examination work sharing mechanism,which originates from the needs of countries to deal with the backlog of patent prosecution.China has cooperated with 15 countries located along the Belt and Road and the number of relevant patent applications shows a gradual growth trend.The Patent Prosecution Highway cooperation between China and the countries along the Belt and Road will help to stimulate technological innovation and help the parties to strengthen patent protection.In the context of the continuous development of the Belt and Road Initiative,China should continue to strengthen cooperation with the countries along the Belt and Road,and expand the scope of cooperation,expand the cooperation mode,and promote the continuous improvement of Patent Prosecution Highway.Chinese enterprises should be good at using the Patent Prosecution Highway in order to form the patent competitive advantage.
