基于专利质量指标的中美挥发性有机物治理技术创新活动评价

Abstract A comparative analysis of the patent quality of Volatile Organic Compounds(VOCs)control technology between China and the United States is made based on the patent information retrieval,which could provide valuable information support for the innovation activities and patent layout of VOCs control technology in China.Patent documents of VOCs control technology applied in both China and the United States were searched from INNOGRAPHY.A comparative study on the technological innovation and patent protection of VOCs control technology between China and the United States is made from patent quality indicators,such as the number of claims,lifespan of patent,the number of patent forward citations,patent strength and competitive position of patent assignees.It is found that,in the field of VOCs control technology,China has obvious advantages in patent quantity across the globe,however,in terms of patent quality,there is still a big gap compared with the United States,which directly reflects that the technological innovation capabilities in VOCs control technology in China need to be enhanced,the quality of patent document drafting needs to be strengthened,meanwhile,the patent quality also needs to be further improved.Finally,the development strategies for enhancing the innovation capabilities and competitiveness of Chinese VOCs control technology are suggested.
