| Study on Decomposition and Imbalance of Sino-US Bilateral Trade Based on Global Value Chain |

Abstract According to WWZ model and WIOTs Data,the paper analyzes on decomposition and imbalance of Sino-U.S.bilateral trades from 2000 to 2014 based on perspective of the global value chains (GVC).Our studies indicate the following:①The domestic value-added (DVA)share in Sino-U.S.bilateral trades presents a downward trend,but DVA share in China is significantly lower than USA.②Exports of China are mainly used for final demands,while exports of USA are mainly used for intermediate inputs.③Returned domestic value-added share in China's exports is lower than USA's,it means that China is in the downstream of GVC,while USA is in the upstream of GVC.④The increase of pure double counted terms (PDC)suggests the GVC of Sino-U.S.is getting longer.⑤The method of trade in value-added leads to a reduction in Sino-U.S.trade imbalance,but the reduction of intermediate goods trade imbalance is significantly higher than the final goods.⑥The intermediate and final goods trades of manufacturing are in surplus,while the intermediate and final goods trades of agricultural and service are in deficit.
