| Viewing the Coordination of China's STI Policies with WTO Rules from Dispute Settlement Cases |

Abstract Since joining WTO in 2001,there have been 12 cases of China's science and technology innovation (STI)policies.And in recent years it has shown a trend of more frequent complaints.From WTO cases and the correlation of WTO rules,subsidies,national treatment and intellectual property rights are the key issues in the coordination of China's STI policies with WTO rules.This paper also finds that there are three systematic influencing factors in the complaints about China's STI policies,including the combination of S&T and economy,industrial competition and institutional differences.The long-term and explicit nature of these factors means that China's STI policies will face higher risk of being sued.
