Abstract Salinity gradient energy is a kind of ocean energy,and a kind of green energy in the 21st century.The potential development of salinity gradient energy is great.But for now,salinity gradient energy is still in the laboratory stage either all over the world,far from the practical application stage.Only Norway and Holland take tiny steps in the practical application stage.The salinity gradient energy in China is almost at a stagnation stage.This paper theoretically discusses and analyzes the current development situation of its industry And then it puts forward the countermeasures:the government should pay enough attention to it;improve the related technologies;strengthen the construction of talents team.
