Abstract Considering the slack status of organization resource,based on the absorbed slack and unabsorbed slack classification of manufacture enterprises,the relationship among slack,strategic orientation and enterprise strategic transition is explored in this article.The empirical results based on 138 manufacture enterprises located in the Yangtze River Delta indicate that absorbed slack has a positive correlation with enterprise strategic transition,while the unabsorbed slack and enterprise strategic transition is of type U relation.Moreover,the market orientation and entrepreneur orientation can play the different moderator roles during the process of enterprise strategic transition by using of slack.
