Abstract Under the wave of digital economy,science and technology has fully empowered the cultural industry.The application of scientific and technological achievements has not only changed the traditional model of creativity,production,dissemination and consumption of the cultural industry,but also has an increasingly significant role in the cultural industry as the value chain of the cultural industry extends.Based on the cultural industry value chain,this article sorts out the impact of technology on the cultural industry,and divides technology-empowered cultural industries into the following five typical modelsincluding factor aggregation model,tool update model,channel expansion model,scene innovation model,and value leadership model.On this basis,the characteristics of science and technology empowering cultural industries are summarized,and suggestions are put forward on how to grasp and use technology to empower cultural industries and promote high-quality development of cultural industries.
