Abstract  This article drew on the ecological evolution laws of the life cycle theory and regarded the growth process of scientific research talents as a dynamic competition process in which different scientific research talents conducted research from their respective perspectives so as to enhance their innovation abilities. Then this article built a model for the growth of scientific research talents and conducted a simulation analysis. The results show that the final stable state of the growth of scientific research talents is only related to the influence of scientific research, and the time required to achieve stability is related to scientific research productivity and initial team.Besides, the author also proposed that we should promote the growth of scientific research talents by optimizing the assessment system, setting up a growth platform and focusing on cultivating young talents.
